The fetish is an intregral piece of the Native American Flute; without it, the flute does not play. But the fetish is not just for functionality. It respresents your spirituality, your personal totem, if you will. A totem can be anything from a favorite pet to the animal that represents who you are, even the animals you see in your dreams.
